Jail for an Online Casino Customer

In US there is great fight against online gambling. Lately the government has switched their tactics and they are making a great effort to succeed.

They have turned their attention away from the online casino operators and payment processors. The main focus is now on the individual customers.

As a result of this situation, Mr. Nicholas Zicarelli, an online casinos customer, has been put in jail. The main reason is that he refused to testify against the online gambling websites that he has visited.

This is very delicate subject as the online players are now very careful when playing even the free online casino games.

At first, Zicarelli was called in to testify but he refused by using the Fifth Amendment. He just wanted to avoid the requirement of testifying. When he was granted immunity from prosecution, he was left defenseless, open to the contempt charges that would soon be pressed.

Kenneth Hensley is Zicarelli’s lawyer. He said that his client is being treated in an unjust manner. He is only a regular online casino customer. He is being treated as a criminal for his actions, which do not warrant such political conduct.

Hensley also said that he is a law abiding who does not want to be dragged into this investigation.
